Cracker Cowboy Enterprises LLC, is a merchandising company offering Florida cowboy and ranch inspired products ranging from gourmet foods to original oil paintings and giclee reproductions. We founded the company in 1998 after the initial idea was born as a natural extension of our ranching legacy as eighth generation Florida cattlemen.

Much like many other Florida ranching families, the Pearces migrated out of Georgia nearly 200 years ago, traveling south into the Florida Territory to begin raising cattle. Captain John Mizell Pearce settled his family along the banks of the winding Kissimmee River at Ft. Basinger northwest of Okeechobee where they ran cattle on the open prairie of the Kissimmee River valley southward to the western shore of Lake Okeechobee. Later, John Olan Pearce, Sr, our great granddaddy and others from the family moved to present day Okeechobee and purchased part of the land along Lake Okeechobee south of the Kissimmee River where we continue to operate a commercial cow/calf operation today.

Being raised on a ranch, you develop a deep love and appreciation for two things: good food and the land that supports it. Brad has shared his love for Florida's backcountry through original artwork and prints since he began painting 10 years ago while attending the University of Florida's College of Agriculture with Sandra. Shortly thereafter, Brad went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree in law from St. Thomas University in Miami and it was during this time that the idea for Cracker Cowboy Enterprises began to emerge. In the fall of 1997, we entered our first salsa in Chile Pepper Magazine's Fiery Food Challenge as an amateur and won 3rd place in the hot salsa category. Numerous other awards soon followed and we realized that there was strong desire for great tasting specialty foods using our native fruits and peppers. We also realized that this was a great opportunity to share Florida's ranching culture with the general public.
